Marble has been used for thousands of years in architecture as well as for countertops.  It will give your home a luxurious and elegant look.  Most people think that Marble is too expensive and out of their price range.  The truth is, prices vary from color to color and can be quite affordable.

Marble is softer than granite and therefore does not hold up to the wear and tear of pots and pans, the way granite does.  It will chip more easily.  It is also more porous than granite and will stain much easier if not sealed properly.  Although Marble probably isn’t for the messy cook, with regular maintenance it can beautify your home for many years to come.
